Just in the "Nick" of time...Merry Christmas to y'all..

I couldn't let the day pass without posting just a couple of snaps from our household on Christmas Day 2007. Poor Miss A came down with high temps and a killer sore throat overnight and spent from 3:30am being cradled in my arms. She wasn't your typical almost 4yo girl on Christmas morning I can tell you. Didn't give a toss about the fact that Santa & his reindeers nibbled on her offerings and left one hell of a mess by the front door.

Remarkably, after a dose of medication and the promise of a spoonful of Nutella she came good. Here she is as "happy as Larry" with her new easel/chalkboard. Miss D in the background was just happy with the wrapping paper as most 9.5mo babes are. Please excuse the worst case of Elly-Mae bed hair you've seen in a while.

Here's a fancy gift for those with wonderful imaginations, both girls got one each - Miss A received pink and Miss D red to keep any confusion and bickering at bay. The big girl calls it a "turtle back" but they can be whatever your child wants them to be, as seen here. I'm a huge believer in toys that serve a purpose, usually a fun, educational purpose.

Yep...you guessed it, the morning ended in tears and someone stripping - like any good party...woohoo!!!!!

Aaaaaaah.....well, that's enough for another Christmas, I'm off to the blanket show now. Night night.

  1. Great piccies. I love the 'turtle back' thing-a-ma-gig. How cool is that? And pulling hair is never good, is it?

  2. ha ha ha at the meltdown pic.

We had NONE this year - not by me, or by any of the other adults ( strangely enough, the children are always perfect ... it's the adults you have to look out for ! )
