Miss A's school wore as much red as possible - a colour which links Daniel's story to child safety education. Apparently, in 2009 up to 500,000 school aged children were expected to participate on a local level. It's not a memorial day, but a day of awareness. Without trying to scare my girls I talk about Daniel's story quite often, especially since we live in the area he grew up. It is just so important.
