Just 'cause I know you've always wanted to try this out! Hey...you never know, with Christmas on the way you might be baking gifts like me. Miss A has requested we give her Kindy friends and teachers goodies from her kitchen.
How to make Sugared Petals by Francesca Newby
Roses are the ideal flower to use as they are edible, fairly resilient and easily accessible. Organic roses can be sourced through your florist (prepare to pay more) or grab from your own garden.
Rinse petals, then allow to dry. Trim any tough stems from large petals.
Paint each petal with lightly beaten egg white, then roll in caster sugar.
Shake any excess sugar from the petal and arrange in a single layer on baking paper to dry overnight.
