Belinda the cow..

Miss A was entrusted with the care of a new pet cow tonight, here she is, introducing Belinda - as in the book of the same name. In case you're wondering what is on her face she and some other children had their faces painted as a special treat for a classmates birthday. They are not devils horns that have slipped down either....again, in case you're wondering.

For one night only we had to pamper this heifer ensuring all her needs ands wants were met, including pulling a bunch of grass and weeds for her instead of munching on our Petunias.

Miss A was mesmerised, aside from her love of literacy and artwork surrounding Belinda's story she felt so special having obtained this new friend, and what's more being the first in the Kindy group to do so. Belinda left a small clay lookalike with us to remember her visit. I commend the Kindergarten teacher for this assignment, I'm sure there will be a rise in responsibility within each family home. We put together a page of photographs and words for Belinda's diary so she could take it away with her to each house and keep it as a special memory.

Good night Belinda and Miss A, they're snoring away in there!

  1. Cool idea and look at Miss A! How proud/happy/smart does she look?
