Doesn't this story make you feel wonderfully warm and proud to be Australian?! The entire nation would have been eagerly awaiting the news this morning. Aptly reported as 'The Great Escape', it's the story of two courageous miners trapped kilometres down the Beaconsfield mine in Tasmania, Australia and their escape after 15 DAYS!! Fifteen bloody long days.
Tears streamed down my cheeks and over my beaming smile this morning as I watched these healthy men walk free live on television. It was their wish to walk out of the mine, their pride and that's only fair. They are Australian after all!
